BIOGRAPHY

Amanda Landherr is an aviation transactions attorney who represents aircraft buyers, sellers, lenders, lessors, lessees and operators in transactions involving the acquisition, sale, financing, leasing and operation of business and commercial aircraft. She works closely with clients and their broader transaction teams from structuring and documentation through closing, helping navigate the legal, regulatory, title and filing issues that can affect the timing and execution of an aircraft transaction.

Amanda brings significant experience in aircraft title and registration matters and the regulatory framework governing aircraft ownership and financing. She drafts and negotiates aircraft purchase and sale agreements, leases, financing and security documents, escrow agreements and related transaction documents. She also advises clients regarding FAA filings and requirements, aircraft and engine title, liens and encumbrances, and interests registered under the Cape Town Convention and International Registry.

Amanda also has experience with cross-border aircraft transactions and works regularly with lenders, escrow agents, brokers and other aviation professionals throughout the transaction process. She focuses on identifying issues early, providing practical solutions and keeping complex transactions moving toward closing. Her experience in aircraft transactions, title and FAA regulatory matters gives her a practical understanding of how the different elements of an aviation transaction work together and where issues can arise.

Amanda has written and spoken on developments affecting the FAA Aircraft Registry and aviation transactions, including presenting for the American Bar Association Forum on Air & Space Law.

She earned her J.D., with highest honors, from the University of Oklahoma College of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif and served as a staff editor of the Oklahoma Law Review. She earned B.S. degrees in Marketing and Entrepreneurship, both magna cum laude, from Oklahoma State University. She is admitted to practice in Oklahoma.
